About Worcestershire Guild

The Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen is a group of professional designer-makers that was founded in 1952. We aim to bring high quality craftsmanship to the community through regular exhibitions and offer our members support and opportunities for professional development.

All our members design and make their own original work, and we are pleased to provide innovative designs in ceramics, glass, jewellery, silver, textiles, leather, metalwork, and wood, with over 50 craftspeople currently being represented. Many of our members run workshops and classes for adults and young people, and include internationally established authors, lecturers, and craftsmen. We also share ideas and work in partnership with other organisations across Worcestershire, and beyond.

The work is of exceptional quality; practical, as well as decorative. We are happy to supply commissioned pieces as well as original designs. All our work is locally made, and is the perfect gift for the celebration of an event, or just to treat yourself!

The Worcestershire Guild of Contemporary Craft have been promoting and supporting designer makers in and around the county since 1952.The Guild works cooperatively to organise professional selling events and to provide our members with a platform to exhibit and sell quality, original, handmade craft.

Over the years we have grown to include over 50 makers working in ceramics, jewellery, glass, wood, textiles, leather, metal and printmaking. At all stages in their careers the Guild aims to provide a supportive community in which makers work can evolve and grow.

Many of our makers work privately to commission, helping to create bespoke pieces for your homes, gardens and personal collections.
