About Worcestershire Guild

The Worcestershire Guild of Contemporary Craft have been promoting and supporting professional designer makers in and around the county since 1952. You can read more on our history here.

The Guild works cooperatively to provide the platforms to exhibit and sell quality, original, handmade craft as well as opportunities for professional development in a supportive environment. We bring high quality craftsmanship to the community through these regular exhibitions.

Over the years we have grown to include over 50 makers working in ceramics, jewellery, glass, wood, textiles, leather, metal and printmaking. At all stages in their careers the Guild aims to provide a supportive community in which makers work can evolve and grow.

Our members design and make their own original work of exceptional quality; practical, as well as decorative. Incorporating innovative, contemporary design often alongside traditional skills with a modern twist. All our work is locally made and is the perfect gift for the celebration of an event, or just to treat yourself!

Workshops

Some of our members run workshops and classes for adults and young people, and include internationally established authors, lecturers, and craftsmen. We also share ideas and work in partnership with other organisations across Worcestershire, and beyond.

Many also work privately to commission, helping to create bespoke pieces for your homes, gardens and personal collections.
